Crafty friends, join me today to create with me this Vintage Library 2 page Art Journal using the adorable release from StHiamperia, Vintage Library Collection.

Starting with my background, I am using my Stamperia Art Journal and gently ink blended Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Broken China Distress Inks with my Blending Brush. I kept going back and forth between the three colors for a first layer of my background.

I then used Bricks Stencil from Stamperia and again ink blended on top of my first layer.

For extra touch of visual texture I used Cracks & Textures stamp set and stamped with the same inks here and there on my background. I then splashed some sprinkles all over the page from diluting the same inks with water.

To create the frame for my layout, I used Borders Stencil by Stamperia and ink blended on top with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I used the window from my Vintage Library Cardboard Ephemera and glued it to my background with Nuvo glue then for my focal image I chose an image of books that look like building stacked nect to each other. The image is from the 8 X 8 paper book from Vintage Library Collection. The image had a top sky which I cut away and used the books part only. I also cut some of the books shorter so the books are shorter on each side . It will be easier to see this step on the video tutorial below.

I added glue to my stacked buildings and centered it to the middle of my two pages.

I then chose two Cardboard ephemera pieces, ink bottle and ink feather pen and smll stacks of books and added them to the right and left of my buildings.

For my sentiments I used Festive Upper and Lower Case Alphabets Die Set I cut them from vanilla color paper and then colored it with vintage photo so my letters do not get lost in the background.
