Slim Art Journal for Art By Marlene

Hello Crafty friends, I am so excited to share with you how to create this extra slim art journal page with a using products from Art by Marlene's newest release.

Slim Art Journal for Art By Marlene - Mixed Media .

First I stamped my images from Home Alone Stamp Set with Versafine Onyx Black ink (materials linked below) on Bristol smooth white paper and colored them using my ZIG Brush Markers.

Markers Shades:

Pinks: 200 - 026 - 202 - 082 - 222 027

Browns: 999 065 076

Oranges & Yellows: 052 - 070 - 050 - 023 - 054

Greens: 041 - 045 - 053 - 046

Blues: 036 031 032

I then used my scissors and cut all around the images.

To create the background, You will need a watercolor paper scrap of paper that is 11inch X 3.25 inch. I used my Art by Marlene Watercolors and Brush to make few strokes of light blue and light green on the paper to create a sky and a ground.

I created few bricks with my white acrylic markers on the ground so it is not too empty on the bottom of my art journal page.

I then stacked my images starting with the adorable toucan, which I got from the recent release's paper elements booklet, and stacking houses behind him and moving up until they are all where I want them to be.

I started gluing the back most house with my ABM sticky glue and for the layer above it I backed with a single foam tape layer and then the front images with double layers of foam tape. This will give lovely variety of dimension on your page.

I choose couple more tiny elements from a previous peper elements booklet, a flower and few leaves, to decorate all around my houses.
